One day trip to Boston

One day trip to Boston
We planned this trip so late that no affordable hotel rooms are available for us. Shall we give up the trip to Boston? No! There is a will there is a way. As a city, Boston is not so big. If we can get there in the morning then we can make it! So we turned in very early the night before and got up 4:00 in the morning to catch the first Amtrak train to Boston. For some reason our credit cards failed to pay for the tickets on the machine in the station, but the conductor was so nice and helped us to buy the tickets on the train.
When arrived at Boston, it’s 8 o’clock in the morning. First stop, Harvard. To be honest, Harvard is not as impressive as I imagined, and MIT is very modern. Yale stands alone in terms of grandeur and magnificence.

After the campus tour, we had a nice lunch at a popular restaurant called “Legal Sea Food”. Boston Lobsters really lived up to their reputation. Everything was DILICIOUS!

Next stop, Boston Common Park. We still got time and it was a nice day, so we took a nap on the lawn.

Tourists can hardly get lost in Boston because we just need to follow the red line that nice Boston people drawn for us with red bricks along the street. We went to Charles River, Bunker’s Hill, and the Long Wharf. It's a beautiful city.

  1. Siggy and I are so very impressed by how well and efficiently you all are able to sleep! I would LOVE a copy of the photo of you all napping on the commons...what a beautiful resting spot on a beautiful and busy day. I'm glad you made the trip and enjoyed Boston despite your limited time.
